The original Dr. Pepper drink was created at a small store in Waco, in 1920. Today, the company has expanded to dozens of brands, and has worldwide operations, with hundreds of millions of customers.
Liu Jianzheng is CEO of Wanshing, based in Laiwu, Shandong Province. He went to Texas to lead a delegation, arranged by Asia-Pacific Group, to evaluate possible joint business with Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE: DPSG). The delegation learned about the history, the branding, marketing and sales strategies, the proprietary formulas, that have made Dr. Pepper so popular.
