A delegation of agriculture executives from a leading Chinese company, Wanshing, visited the University of Hawaii, College of Tropical Agriculture, in April 2018.
They consulted with professor Ted Radovich on the cultivation of ginger in Hawaii, with attention to the special varieties of ginger that grow best in the climate of the islands. Fred Lau, expert on aquaponics technology, was present to discuss possible research projects into how ginger may be more efficiently cultivated using his advanced techniques.
The delegation was organized by Asia-Pacific Group, and led by Liu Jianzeng, CEO of Wanshing Corporation, from Laiwu City, Shandong province in north-central China.
